Available in North America only. FD&C Caramel Liquid D.S. is a water-soluble liquid resulting from the carefully controlled heat treatment of food grade carbohydrates. FD&C Caramel Liquid D.S. is designed for use in acidic beverages (carbonated and still), baked goods, syrups, candies, pet foods, and in other food, drug, and cosmetic applications and environments. This brown liquid is also used in detergents, antifreeze, adhesives, and other applications in which a beige color is desired.
